We organized conducting the 3rd National Workshop on the Grassroots Deaf Leadership on 18thFebruary, 2012 at Indian Social Institute, 10 Institutional Area, Lodi Road, New Delhi. There were about 165 deaf members from all over the country participating in the Workshop. We have invited the special lecturers Dr. Madan Vasishta Ph.D. (Associate Professor, Department of Administration and Supervision, Gallaudet University, Washington DC, USA), Mr. Sibaji Panda Lecturer (International Institute for Sign Languages and Deaf Studies, University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK) & Mrs. Ritu Panda General Secretary (Deaf Culture Society).
The workshop started with the welcome note by Mr. A. S. Narayanan, Secretary of NAD. He showed Mr. TKM Sandeep, Treasurer of NAD signing the Dignity on video to all the audience. The deaf people learnt the lessons about the Dignity.
Dr. Madan Vasistha Ph.D. has shared the experiences & opening of the ISLRTC and the powerpoint presentation about grassroots leadership.
Mr. Sibaji Panda, Lecturer has explained the Deaf Education in Bilingualism and Mrs. Ritu Panda has talked about deaf woman issues.
